Overall Description:
Five Key Details To Quickly Identify Your Cat:
- oddly dark amber eyes with a hazel tinge
- white paws, chest, and stomach
- brown and black tabby fur with a chestnut hue
- thin but battle-ready muscles
- immediate indifference
\\Body:// Thornpaw is not what one would call 'strong' or 'muscular' which has, of course, brought around quite a bit of teasing. However, Thornpaw has more muscles then one might think. Growing up in the life that he did, Thornpaw grew muscles for a different purpose, a different style. If you pay attention, you'll find that, when under battle, Thornpaw doesn't fight as the rest of his clan does. He uses agility, but, almost more then that, speed. Unlike most ShadowClan cats, Thornpaw is wicked fast - maybe not as fast as WindClan, but, he's pretty high up there. His bone structure mirrors this. Thornpaw is longer, taller, but, also skinnier then most of ShadowClan.
\\Pelt:// Thornpaws' pelt is primarily brown. Chestnut brown to be persice, though it becomes less chestnut when it's not near the many white or black places on his pelt. Then, amongst the varying brown, comes thick black lines in a classic tabby pattern. After that, to complete this, he has white paws, a small white spot on his chest which connects to the white patch on his stomach Thornpaw's fur is rather soft and about half an inch thick.
\\Eyes:// Thornpaw's eyes, though at first glance a normal amber, when observed more closely begin to look odd. They begin to take on a hazel look. More like a hue, or a tinge. It's rather hard to notice. However, usually you can see a few more of Thorns barely concealed emotions.
\\Other:// Thornpaw's nose is, despite his pelt, dark grey. He has a nearly unnoticeable scar across his cheek that holds a lot of memories.
Personality:
Five Key Likes:
- being alone
- at times fighting and hunting
- silence
- cats who will shut up
- cats who simply leave him alone
Five Key Dislikes:
- when he has to be with others
- his parents
- loud noises
- cats who talk a lot
- when others pester him, more so about his past
How They Behave: Thornpaw is a secluded cat who keeps to himself. A lot. As in he dreads seeing, talking to, and listening to other cats. He gets up and gets out early, and comes back late, missing whatever he can of the social interactions of the day. However Thorn is not a 'bad', so-to-say, cat. He's pretty brave, but, it doesn't show, because Thornpaw isn't really loyal to anyone or anything, making him seem quite a bit more of a passive cat. The truth is, Thornpaw is actually a very firey cat, ready to tear whatever stands in his way to shreds. However, until he finds much of a reason to fight for anything, this will not surface. The one thing that can break through this rough shield is Thornpaws' infamous temper. He has a huge one, and, depending on the situation, the fuse can burn up fast. Usually, this comes out as cruel sarcasm. Sometimes, however, it can be some truly hurtful words, just waiting to pick a fight.
Inside, however, reflects the outside quite a bit differently then you'd expect. You see, Thornpaw is a rather emotionally tramatized cat. Thornpaws' past hunts him, tearing into his dreams, and, when he's awake his thoughts.
History:
Family: - Mother: Julie - Father: Matt - Siblings: Amber, Jay - Mate(s): N/A - Kits: N/A - Other Kin: N/A - Relationship status: N/A
The Past: Julie and Matt were childhood friends. Ever since they met, at about 4 moons old, after they'd both left their old families. They'd both came from kittypet homes and been removed from their families. Matt was there a moon before Julie, but, they were both still afraid after losing their families. After their twolegs first inteoduced them to each other, they were inseparable. For many moons it stayed that way. And, before they knew it, their lives in their comfortable homes had flew by. They were already both about twenty moons. By that time, they finally began to think-so much time had passed, but it was all happy. And, probably the most exiting thing in their lives happened. Matt asked Julie to be his mate. The agreement was inevitable. The problem came when Julie began her pregnancy. Her twolegs could not care both for her and her kittens, and they threw her out on the streets. Matt, distraught, escaped from his own twolegs to join her.
By the time Julie had had her kittens, it was pretty bad for both of them. They were slowly starving to death. So, instead of seeming like the devil he was, Sirat was a godsend to the two. Seeing their predicament, he saw how he could use their desperation for his own good. He said he could help. That he would take care of their kittens and they could go live with their twolegs until the kittens were old enough. Maybe, if Julie and Matt had thought more, they would have seen through him. However, missing their soft comfey homes, they didn't even see the obvious gaps in the story, and they thanked him. If for some reason you haven't guessed, the two didn't get their kittens back and never would. But, they would soon forget about them anyway. However, their story loses it's importance quickly.
After Sirat had taken the kittens in, he was quick to flee into the forest. You see, Sirat was not a rouge. Sirat was a Shriek. However, he didn't take them straight to the Shriek camp. He first rose them in the first. As soon as they could walk, he was teaching them fighting. From the start, the kittens were hollowed out. Of course, they had rest when Sirat was away tending to his duties as a Shriek, but, in his free time, he was 'teaching' the kits fighting, with a little bit of hunting. However, this is, from no angle, a good thing. Sure, they learned to hunt and fight early. It broke them. They became blank and empty. However, there was one thing that could break them out.
When they were 8 moons, their chance arose. They'd been kindling a deep ebbing hatred for Sirat, and one day, it finally came out, in what had started as a fight 'training' session. Jay started it, and rest flew in. All their emotions the personality that had been hurried flew out in that moment. It was where Thorn earned his scar. However, though they could have fought Sirat all day, letting their fly into their claws until he was dead, the screams were loud, and other Shreiks soon came to the cats' rescue. All three of them fled, or at least tried to flee. In the end, they were all caught and dragged back scratching and biting. Surprisingly enough, they weren't killed on site. Instead, they had a punishment of sorts. They were told to live in the clans. Of course, they could flee. But, they couldn't escape the Shreiks.
What haunted them most was the cruel smile on Sirats' face as they were sent to the clans-separated, of course. But, they didn't worry the Shreiks. What could three cats do? Nothing was the sad but true answer.
Theme Song: End Of An Empire by Turisas
Other: Yes, there are religious hints in the song. It's just the best I could find in my limited time.
