Amberpaw had taken the day off - she would fit in with Italian workers. Truthfully, some of them go on strike for, like, a few hours and then are back on the job. But, of course, a cat would not understand the connection that could be made. On topic, though, Amberpaw was perched on a tree. It was a rather low branch, for she had seen no nee to climb higher. It was a few fox-lengths off the ground, easy climbing. And, it was perfect. The shade from the thick leaves of the tree helped, being that the day was not humid. As long as you stayed out of the sun, you wouldn't die of heatstroke. The young apprentice was draped over the branch, her front paw hanging down, ending up in a small streak of sun. It had not yet become uncomfortable, but, there was no way to truly be comfortable in the sun and the peace could not last long. As long as the sun changed positions, she still had to worry.
Her green eyes lazily rested on the clearing. She had considered taking a nap up here, but, after an unsuccessful attempt at sleep, she had just lay there, tail swishing. The clearing below would be filled with apprentices and their mentors if not for the heat of day, making it a good spot. But, when the sun set and took it's warmth with it, cats would be out here once again. She glanced up, and through the leaves, she could make out the sun. It was slowly beginning it's decent, but, she probably wouldn't want to be up here much longer anyway. Soon the leaves would no longer protect her, and she'd need to find a better space. She stretched her legs, her jaws widening in a yawn. She slowly stood up, lazily wandering over to the truck of the tree. The run down it woke her up, but, there was enough drowsiness, that she stumbled but regained herself before falling at the bottom. Once again exposed to the sun, she looked around for a reasonably shady direction.
