"Very good." Flowerpetal mewed. OOC: It's okay. I haven't been so active myself.

OOC: No problem Icey!
IC: Honeypaw smiled, her face beaming from the praise she had received from the older she-cat. Looking into the store of herbs, she tried to look for any more that she could remember. She recognized the daisy leaves, the burnet, the sorrel, and the chamomile; she also saw the marigold, the cobwebs, the snake root, and the alder bark- all of which she had just learned.
Her curiousness of what she knew from before took over.
"Feverfew! Looks so much like daisy, except for the tangy scent. It gets rid of fever, and sometimes helps with aches." she turned her head after scenting the air. "Oh, and catmint... the best cure for greencough, and whitecough when it comes to it. And honey, my favorite! So good for sore throats, infections, and soothing coughs. Not to mention it tastes yummy."
Honeypaw's hears drooped when she looked at the rest of the herbs, besides the ones she mentioned and memorized. "I'm not so sure about the rest, though. Maybe a name here and there, but that's it..."

OOC: You have to write 70 words? I never knew that. IC: Flowerpetal went to get some more herbs. It was easy to identify the herbs. She picked them up in her jaws. Wind blew in, and knocked over some herb piles. Flowerpetal put the herbs down in front of her apprentice and started to pick up the fallen herbs. Flowerpetal used her paw to gather the herbs into a pile to put them up.

Honeypaw watched as the wind came in and blew at the herbs in her mentor's jaws, knocking them all over the ground. Immediately, the honey-colored apprentice pranced over and helped pick them up, putting them in the right spot. With a nod, she let out a grin. "Well, it's good to know that no wind can stop us!" She cheered. The turned towards the herbs that Flowerpetal had set down for her to learn. "So, what now?"

"Well, we are going to try something new." Flowerpetal meowed, flicking her tail. "When you are a medicine cat, you must be capable of teaching even the most stubborn cats. I'm going to have you teach the kits in the nursery." Flowerpetal led Honeypaw to the nursery. Kits were playing. "Kits, listen. Honeypaw is going to teach you some herbs of her choice. Sit down, and try to pay attention." Flowerpetal sat on the side to watch.

OOC: I am really, really sorry for not replying earlier! Life has been hectic and I finally got a break from all of it. Forgive me? =D
IC: Honeypaw hesitantly followed her mentor, Flowerpetal, into the nursery. Her mind was curious as to why she needed to teach the kits; after all, it wasn't their job to know herbs. It was probably so they didn't put themselves in danger with all the deathberries and other poisonous plants that might draw a curious kit towards them. Or maybe her mentor was going to prepare her for when she has an apprentice of her own?
She smiled nervously and sat down in front of the kits. She wasn't sure where to start, and she sure wasn't ready to begin any sort of teaching! Oh well, she sighed, you better get on with it.
"Hey," she smiled at the kits, trying to keep her nervousness away. What was she going to teach the kits? "I wanna teach you something that might save yours or a warrior's life in battle one day,"
She stood up straight, remembering when she was a kit. What drew her in? Oh, that's right. Stories and action. Kits love adventure. "You're in battle, and you had just chased away a badger- no, three badgers. You're alright, but a few of your clanmates are wounded. What do you do?"
"Go get the medicine cat?" One kit asked cutely.
Honeypaw nodded her golden head. "Yes! But let's say you cannot get there in time. It would be quite sad. But could you imagine, knowing what to do to save their life? Being their hero? A few herbs could change their life."
The golden medicine cat apprentice grabbed some cobweb and brought it over. "This is cobweb. You can find it almost anywhere there are spiders; under logs and rocks and such. Use it for when they are bleeding a lot, or if bones are broken."
"Then here is marigold," she showed them the golden flower. "You find these near water. Chew it up and stick it on the wound. It's used for infection, and for minor wounds."
She smiled at the kits. "You see, with those two, you could save a warrior's life. Of course he'll need more herbs and care after you bring them back to camp, but it would be enough to stop them from visiting Starclan too soon. You'd be their hero."
